Six years married to Mary yesterday, had a great day six years ago and another great day yesterday. We had quite a bit of work to catch up with having spent the week travelling for my business, Fareham Tuesday, Exeter Wednesday & Cardiff Thursday.
Anyway, work done, we walked into town to meet up with my mum, she was in the George (as arranged) so we ate there, great Crab Sandwiches and a bottle of Prosecco.
Then I was dragged shopping for nearly a whole hour, my least favourite activity, but it had to be done and Mary was happy, not buying for herself but for Liam’s half sister Nancy who’s birthday it is tomorrow.
Back to the George for a bottle of red wine in the sunshine watching the world go by, then a quick one on the way home at the Marston’s Pub of the year, The Boot, our local. Well done to Kevin for acheiving tht award and my appologies for ordering the Rioja that was placed behind your glass framed certificate to that effect that the barmaid knocked to the floor breaking the glass when getting our wine! Not my fault honest guv!
So the anniversary bit, I love my wife, we have a great life and are currently enjoying more champagne at home watching the rugby world cup. I just wish it was colder outside so I could justify lighting the log fire!
